Why can't we get a down and distance on the scoreboard at the bottom of the screen?

How do we not challenge the Patton TD. Clearly would've been overturned. I don't get it.
This was a big stop! we needed to show we can stop them. Now score and this is a new game.
Although it WOULD be pretty cool if the defense DID win it for us.
