You are right. But I don't see how the definition is relevant to Louisiana Tech WINNING football games. Please explain that to me.

If by definition we played just average defense in the A&M and Utah State games this year we would be undefeated the fact that we didn't and don't play average defense doesn't change whether our offense played good. Last year against Utah St. The offense played poorly. By any definition it was poor, it wasn't good because they outscored Utah State.

My point is I know, you know, the coaches know, everybody knows we have, by DEFINITION, a poor defense. The offensive coaches MUST take that into consideration in game planning. It doesn't matter that with an average defense, 41 points SHOULD win a football game.

But there is a simple concept you aren't grasping. We try to score every single time we get the ball. We don't gameplan to score 41. That's silly.

EVERY team in the country tries to score every time they get the ball and no one does it better than we do. And against the two best defended on our schedule the Dawgs scored 57 and 41 points.
