Potentially. Need to start games off a little better but when we get going very entertaining!!!

Have we won against any "good" teams? Until then, It's too early to say.
Coach White is a special coach and is doing great things with a team that were freshmen mostly last year-remember they went to WAC championship game last season. They were down by 14 points last nite-but kept on keeping on and lighted the TAC up. A good test will be against NSU at their place next week.NSU almost beat to LSU. Our guys are for real.
This team is better coached than any Millsap TECH team. I was a Millsap fan, but not a fan of the offensive concept during the Millsap years. Millsap's last year we had a good supporting cast, but they had to run every play through Millsap or they would be benched. A lot of shots were passed up and we had a lot of turnovers trying to get the ball into Millsap. The opponents learned to key on Millsap to beat us.
Coach White's team has the freedom to shot outside or drive the ball inside for a basket without being immediately benched for doing so. We have had some great defensive teams in the past but this year's team plays a lot better defense than any previous TECH team, but it is the offensive philosophy that is so different. Coaching will make a huge difference.
The "weakness" we have is rebounding and an "inside game." However, I believe we can overcome some of this "weakness" with speed, the pressure defense, and using 10 or 11 players. Also, our bigs will improve during the season, just like Romario Sousa did last season. Souza's improvement was due to good coaching.
I'm hoping to see 23 or more regular season wins, an appearance in the WAC tournament championship game, and a good post-season tournament bid. The number of wins this season should beat any Millsap-led team and will probably be better than the 24 win Kerry Rupp coached season.
As many of you know, I usually sponsor a contest based on guessing the number of season wins. This season the contest will be only for the conference record. I'm still working on the details but there will be a prize.
This year is a warm-up for next year...

... assuming White doesn't bolt. He certainly has laid the foundation for long-term success quickly.

Better believe it. I was with a big Creighton supporter and we were talking MBB and we got to LaTech and I said we are salty this year...next year we will be polished. He also asked if we still had a WBB team...no joke.
