I would hate to be in a foxhole with some of you people if the Chinese invaded. We did not tell the I Bowl we would not play in it just that we could not give them an answer until tomorrow. Roy Lang is just trying to stir everybody up because he is a douche with too much time on his hands.

I think he is a sportswriter with the Shreveport Times. I've read some of his stuff and he rivals Glen Guilbeau with his lack of journalism skills. He also apparently doesn't like us very much.

I dreamed we played the little chicken hawks. We beat the hell out of them and no one was there but Tech fans...Wait. That really happened. Over and over. Who wants to go back to that????
First, isn't it amazing how EVERYTHING ulm does revolves around Tech. For the first time in their history they have a winning season, at the highest level, and a first-ever bowl bid. So! is that enough to be happy with? To celebrate and focus on? Nope! The lil chicken hawks NEED Tech to be a part of it to validate it. It's NOT a real bowl experience if they don't get to play Tech. They are pathetic.
And, for the more moronic among them to be posting crap like Tech is afraid to play 'em, shows how small-minded they are and why their program will always be a nobody. They just don't get it.
And, to further illustrate my point....
we are seeing talk about a possible Tech-Tulsa bowl matchup. That would not be the best possible scenario for either school or for CUSA. As others have pointed out, Tech should play Iowa State and Tulsa play Minnesota. Given the possibilities, that would be the best line-up for us, for Tulsa, and for CUSA. And it is NOT because we are afraid to play Tulsa, or Tulsa is afraid to play us.
But, don't expect the lil injun chicken hawks to understand the big picture. But, why should they? They live in a small world and are relegated to the belch.
This is the first time most of those posters have logged on to their site since the week before the Baylor loss. They have to be the most uninformed fans ever...
- we turned down a bowl game because they got the invite first. (actually we could have taken the 1st invite and they'd be sitting around with the MUTS)
- they get $1.2 Mil. from the Indy.
- all our players and most of our fans want to play them, but our big money folks keep it from happening

- they think they will get a BCS team to play over there.
Without us in Shreveport and with a LaMon/MAC matchup...25K tops.
I'll tell y'all, I expect certain types of behavior from children, the adult ignorant, and those incapable of understanding.
I'm more disappointed in more than a few TECH fans, who...apparently...deep-down, REALLY believe that we still are playing 1AA ball. I expect ignorance from a fan base that has never been there before, but I DO EXPECT an individual with a degree from Louisiana Tech to UNDERSTAND that everything is not always what it might appear, and to have a little faith in THE PROCESS. But a larger-than-i-thought percentage of Tech fans are still in a 1-AA mindset.
REALITY: Tech already has an invitation to a bowl game. We aren't at LIBERTY to say where at this point, because the bowl committees are swapping, switching, and trying to make their game a better draw, better TV ratings, and to appease the conferences with whom they have contracts. THIS IS A COMPLICATED process, and it has to work itself out.
While we're sitting here with an invitation in hand that we can't really talk about, along comes this Indy Bowl thing, to which literally all we can say is "no thanks" ... and all hades breaks loose. The ignorant react predictably, but it was obvious to me last night that we have a LOT of Tech folks still stuck in that 1-AA mindset too. I literally could do nothing but shake my head at some of the posts last night...again, not from ULM posters...they have an excuse, they've never done this stuff before. Tech folks? INEXCUSABLE.
Truly a shame.
