This is my all time favorite joke:
It was in Bush Int'l Airport at a departure gate. Several travelers sat being entertained by a Cajun who was bragging about the "expanse" of his "ranch" down near Pecan Island. It was going something like - " I got tree rice field dat cover hunert acre apeece. Two bayou run tru my lan. Some allygator crawl all ore down dare. I got nutria, bear, all kind critter dare. Den, on da udder side I got cow and pig ova dare, day all over fo acre everywhey. Up on da nort side, I got suga cane field da keep a local syrup companee busy all year. Den, east, I got mudbug pond all over."
Meanwhile, as the narrative continued, this rich Texas rancher is getting pretty tired of hearing the rant. Finally he snaps. He chimes in to the conversation,
"BIG! You think that is big? Let me tell you what big is. Take my ranch. If it is west of San Angelo, it is my ranch. I get up before the sunrise. I get in my pickup truck and head due west. I travel due west until noon, stop just long enough to have a sandwich and I get back in my pickup truck and I continue on, due west, until the sun begins to set. Then, I stop my pickup truck, get out, and climb up on my pickup trucks front fender and look due west. You know what I STILL can't see? I still can't see the west border of my ranch."
What do you have to say about that Cajun?"
The Cajun looks around at the crowd he had gathered, smiled, looked back at the Texan and said , " I know what you mean, I got a pickum up truck jes' like dat!"
[You can't out fab a Cajun] The Texan was last seen still sitting in the same chair shaking his head and mumbling incoherently.
