Are you serious? Do you really believe ULM is on the brink of bankruptcy? Are you that out of touch on this subject, or are you just posturing?

I haven't seen a single person recommend playing ULM games IN MONROE. Playing games in Monroe would benefit ULM financially. Playing ULM in Ruston would only benefit LA Tech. Last time I looked, we were all interested in what benefits LA Tech.

Hey look. We agree on something.

The one lesson we learned last time we played UL-M is that their fan base will not buy tickets to the game in Ruston.

They were 30 minutes down the road and they had NO ONE show up at the 2nd game in Ruston. They had maybe 1,500 at the first one??

Their fan support is laughable and limited. The few fans they have are more LSU bandwagon fans than anything else.

They won't buy tickets for the game in Ruston.

Schedule them at LaTech only with the caveat that if they don't sell all of their allotment of tickets to ULM fans (though I don't know how to determine that) by Monday of game week, they are to be returned and Tech has the option of cancelling any future games scheduled at not penalty.

i know most people don't, but I agree too. I remember when the I-20 rivalry was something to get excited for. I used to hate the Wreck Tech signs and shirts but it made for good fun. Plus beating them on the regular would be an added bonus.

Maybe we can also get back to the days of play NSU in S'Port. This seeking a Top 25 rating and national attention thing is over rated. I long for the days when we only had 10K to 15K in JAS. Yeah, lets move our program back to a bunch of freekin' Sunbelt losers. Gulf States Baby!

    Re: "Good. Luck. With. That."

First of all, let's just stop acting like it's still 2000. It's been 13 years since we played, and the entire college football landscape has changed during that time. ULM's program has grown since then. Not as much as ours, but it certainly has grown. And the fact that we haven't played in so long will be something that attracts fans from both sides of the spectrum. I would tend to agree that most of the people on BB&B don't want to see this game played, but I'd also argue that those people are in the minority. There are a whole lot of folks who think we should be playing ULM, ULL and NSU every year.

While I'll acknowledge that I don't know if there's a scenario that benefits both universities equally, I do not believe it benefits Tech one iota to offer to play ULM only at home. It makes us look even more arrogant than we actually are. We can't push for bigger schools to give us home-and-home opportunities and come play in Ruston when we refuse to go play against another FBS school right down the street. To me, making that kind of offer would only do us more harm than good.

Stick to writing with your goofball Times and NewsStar goobers. You are out of touch with what Tech fans desire.

Surely you jest!!! I don't know of any real Tech fans that want to see Tech play the juco.

Well I don't get too excited about playing the juco, but I'm surprised that no one so far has acknowledged that the all time attendance record at The Joe was against NLU. Perhaps a little more of that would help our efforts to upgrade. Even visits from Boise didn't come close to that attendance.

ULM football has digressed in every way immaginable since 1988. They have made NO forward progress. Why would we play this program and help them along the way?

I'll go to a UL-M game if Tech is on the road....there have been times that there were less than 1,000 people total in the stadium....and I am including the players. Did you notice the horrendous turnout they had at the Indy bowl?

Playing ULM is bad for Tech in every way immaginable.
