todays Chicago Tribune reporting (8/13) Mills has been promoted to first team O-line along with another rookie. Veterant Scott has his knee drained and may be out for awhile. Coaches say they will be evaluating based on San Diego game this week--
Profootballtalk.com says that Mills is the starting right guard, replacing J'Marcus Webb. They make it sound as if it's only temporary, but if you follow pro football, you remember Jay Cutler whining and shoving Webb a few times last year. I wouldn't be surprised to see Mills get a legitimate shot at starting, especially since they now have a "passing" coach and Jordan comes from a passing offense.
If you are a Bears fan, you don't know if that is good news or bad news. Good because the rookies are playing well, or bad because two rookies are your best option. For Jordan's sake, I hope it is because he is playing well.

Currently watching the Bears-Chargers game and Mills is starting!
Mills is looking pretty good. That sack looked like it may have been on him though
I don't often watch pre-game NFL. Much less, the offensive line in a preseason game. But Mills is KILLING it! He's been good at pass blocking and run blocking.
Mills was getting some love from the commentators on that last drive.
Mills is doing well along w/ Kyle Long
What is Jordan's number? I'm sure he won't play anymore now that I flipped over to the game.
Thanks, latech.
That last 3 and 9 and 5 yards run - Mills blocked really good.
Way to go, Mills!!!!![]()
Reading all the post game reviews, looks like Mills and Long are staking a claim to the starting jobs. Hope they can keep them.
