    Quarterback commitment -- Price Wilson

For all of you recruiting junkies, quarterback commitment Price Wilson of Walton HS in Georgia had his debut today. It was part of the Corky Kell Classic, which is a slate of 5 games at the Georgia Dome to kick off the season.

What does that mean to us Tech football fans? His entire game is online for you to watch! You can get to it here:
    http://www.gpb.org/sports/football/m...dge-at-walton#

If a big Donate window appears, click on the red button to dismiss it. If you are having trouble seeing it, the button may be mostly obscured by a 360 degree image of the Georgia Dome.

I listened to most of the game on the radio. The announcers at halftime talked about Wilson was nearly flawless until he threw a pick right before the half. He finished 14 of 27 passing for 170 yards and two touchdowns.

    That was "near flawless"?

Im starting to regret making fun of an lsu qb commitment's 49.8% completion rate for his jr year.

I believe Walton had a much better first half than second. They went up 17-10 in the second quarter, but Peachtree Ridge pretty much dominated the game after that. Wilson impressed me with his quick release and strong arm. If you watch the video online of his 7-on-7 competition, you can see that for yourself.

Walton did have a much better first half. Walton has a young team and a small line -they had 10 holding penalties -Peachtree Ridge’s size just wore them down- PR has TN commit Orlando Brown-6’8” 360 pounds, I’m talking huge! Wilson actually went 14-23, 169 yards. That around the back pass to himself was pretty cool too..

When Wilson had protection and time to throw, he was nearly pin-point accurate. Too bad Walton's o-line started to self destruct. There were several plays where a defender was in Wilson's face before he even had time to throw to his first receiver.
