the security for the fairgrounds and the stadium both were a farce... you could have walked in with a thermonuclear device and they would have passed you through. I saw just about every item on the forbidden list at some point during the day and evening. VERY well behaved crowd at fair and game from what I saw however.

I was about to ask if umbrellas were supposed to be banned from the Cotton Bowl.

Turns out standing is highly frowned upon as well. Between the event staff and some west side fuddy-duddy's I ended up giving a few people a solid piece of my mind after all the badgering. One of them turned out to be Troy Edwards (oops).
