    That's where we will be...

Kyle, I would suggest Lower Greenville or Uptown (McKinney Ave). I prefer the latter.

Cool, thanks man maybe we can run into the techblue4 crew before the game. I was kidding on the club part. These days I'd rather find somewhere with a good beer selection and not overly loud.

No doubt. I don't do the club scene either. McKinney Ave has a whole strip of bars which is right up my alley. Definitely hit us up, we'll be heading down to the fairgrounds around 11.

Skip the BBQ joint across the street. The Denny's is better.

For those of us driving over early Saturday from Louisiana, the fair's directions are to take exit 47C onto 1st Avenue then right on Exposition until we get to the fair. Does that sound right and the best way to go? We're staying in north Dallas at a Holiday Inn Express for Saturday night to do some things there Saturday evening.

    Thanks!!

That sounds correct. There are signs everywhere, and you can see the big ferris wheel off I-30. All the parking lots are on the east side of the fair grounds except ones in people's front yards, which I do not recommend. Get there early for the best spots. The fair grounds itself is all on the south side of I-30.

RE: Crowne Plaza- hotel was in excellent shape, spotlessly clean and everything functioned. Security was good and even though there was an S/M convention/meeting/party/educational opportunity, we heard no noise or disturbances. Breakfast was not included but the buffet was good. No grits and Pillsbury biscuits (I'm spoiled on Mary B's) but nice staff and good food. I have no complaints about the hotel. There were your standard assortment of panhandlers around but they were not near as offensive as the new orleans bums. Train service to and from the game was good (front door delivery and pickup). Traffic on Friday afternoon was getting horrible as we got to hotel but drivers were polite and let you change lanes. Walked or took the train the whole weekend. Dallas sleeps late on Sunday. Aside from the debacle at the stadium, it was a nice weekend.
