''Don't be a bad dagh..."
Here's the difference in the last three coaches we have had:
Dooley always looked like someone peed in his Wheaties
Dykes always looked he just ate a whole box of Wheaties
Holtz looks like he just want to dump out the box of Wheaties to see if there is a prize in it. Sorry Skip.
Holtz needs to at least play some different offensive linemen, these guys really suck. Our OL is all juniors and seniors, if we are going to use inexperience as an excuse at least play the freshmen and sophomores. 7 out of our 10 2 deep lineman are juco transfers, play some of the younger guys that weigh less than 300 lbs, they were probably never given a chance to prove that they are our best lineman, Holtz seems to have just handed the starting jobs to the juco transfers.
These 3 things are hallmarks of a Skip Holtz team and we saw it for 3 years at USF.
He is unapologetic about his conservative play, he aims to keep a game close and winnable as long as possible and win by a score or two. He actually did keep games close in his last year at USF for the most part but could never win them, often losing in a 4th quarter collapse, with BJ Daniels, an NFL caliber quarterback. He was often seen smiling and laughing on the sidelines after bad plays or blowing clock management.
What you are seeing, that is a Skip Holtz team.
Just talk around town...
Been hearing it since this spring, but when there is no W's or L's its overlooked
''Don't be a bad dagh..."
TOTAL BS! Looked down on is 100% from the good ol'boy fans who would have preferred some southern hillbilly coach. Truth is coming out now in the "FIRE HOLTZ" after five games. If this was Monken or Petrino we'd still be 1-4 and there wouldn't be a call for their heads. That's a fact.
Monken or Petrino wouldn't have started 1-4...

Monken/Petrino probably would have been out of budget even if we wanted them.
Jordan Mills on choosing Tech:
“It’s a great experience seeing them play. It was a good atmosphere. The fans stood up the whole game and never sat down. They have a great fan base.”
We'll never know what another coach would have done. It would have taken someone spectacular to win more than 2 though. Monken couldn't have done it. Maybe Petrino.
