I think Holtz has been reading the wrong book.
I'm sick of all the lame and inaccurate excuses. Skip is responsible for this crappy product. We need to get rid of him as soon as the team gets back from losing to UTSA. Things aren't gonna get better under Skip.

I've seen several interviews with Coach Holtz on TV, sideline reporters etc. My personal opinion is that he is already just buying his time. He is making double salary from both Tech and USF. He doesn't want to be in Ruston, it is obvious. He has NO PASSION or EMOTION. He knows that even if he gets fired this season... (which I doubt). He will just draw a paycheck and end up as an assistant coach at some other university. He says the "right things" that people want to hear.. he should, he's been a head coach and knows what to say.. But his body language does not back up what he is saying.
Hunter Lee was awesome in the first quarter. Then we barely saw him the rest of the game. When we have a good thing going why mess it up?
I would be very happy if Holtz is fired Monday. This guy is clueless.
Rouge, you mistake La Tech for a proactive program.
He simply WILL NOT open up this offense by rolling out the QB or anything. Just the same ole 8 yards and punt offense. Dixon got sooooo many of his yards last season because we stretched the field, now defenses just stack the box for the 3 yard run or the 3 yard pass. I'm siiiiiiiiiick of this crap! Skippy is the only person in the stadium who thinks that eventually this approach will just magically become effective.

Don't wait. Fire him now. Doug Williams would probably fill in for free until we hire a new coach. Doug might do a terrible job but at least it would be an improvement.

I'm just frustrated
We have to fire Holtz at the end of the season. If we keep Holtz we will probably lose a lot of our recruits because Holtz is so shitty. Why would any recruit want to come here with Holtz coaching us?
