Go tell them to get open against the worst pass defense in the nation then. That ain't coaching my man. At some point, they have to beat the bad players who are covering them. The coaches can't do that for them.

That is because Holtz is calling crappy plays. Holtz won't call a passing play that is past 5 yards, he will only throw to the sidelines, and wont throw to the middle of the field. The other team doesn't have to defend much of the field, that is why we are not getting open. We could have QP, Myles White, and Troy Edwards and they would not get open with this play calling.

It IS coaching when the offensive schemes and tendencies we show every week don't put our players in a position to succeed.

However, the play before when we threw to out wide to Dixon--who was standing still 2 yards behind the line of scrimmage--was a dumbass play. Once again, everyone is keying on Dixon, yet we have a play designed to throw the ball to him when he's at a dead stop and behind the line of scrimmage. If we're going to throw to him, he needs to be on the move. And that goes the same for all our pass plays.

The HE you are talking about is the quarterback. It's the quarterback's decision to throw those 5 yard routes. The plays don't have every WR on the field running short routes

I think everyone's frustrated because we suck. I'm impressed with Mullens as QB for USM. Good pocket presence and nice arm.
