I don't think they actually need to play for us to know who would win that match-up.

So glad to see Meeeeechigan State beat Ohio State. No surprise there, thought it would happen. And, I have nothing against OSU or especially Urban Meyer. He's a good coach and I like him. But, it would have been a travesty for the SEC Champion to be left out of the BcS title game.

I do want to see a Bama vs. OSU game. But, doubt it'll happen. Both teams will be picked as the "headliner" for a BcS bowl, probably the Orange and Sugar.

B/R is projecting Oregon vs Alabama in the Sugar Bowl. That would be good, Oregon would have a use for all those "we want Bama" t-shirts.

Really glad to see the Liberty Bowl step up and invite our CUSA champ, Rice. From Brittan Banowsky's recent comments, I expected CUSA and the Liberty Bowl to be parting ways. Then again, I may be thinking about CUSA's 2014-2015 bowl lineup and beyond.

That is what all the credible media were reporting was a done deal last night.

Oregon is not getting a BCS bid.

UCF's known since NIU lost Friday night that they will be the last pick, which means the Fiesta Bowl.

Baylor, the Big 12 Champ, was described as the school that "must fall on the sword" for the BCS this year, because nobody wants to play UCF. Having UCF in a BCS Bowl is a joke.

Naah....while I will certainly concede that Baylor's bowl opponent (UCF) qualifies for "ugliest girl in school", it doesn't change the fact that OSU's loss yesterday still resulted in Baylor claiming its first unshared Conference football championship since 1958. That's huge. Congrats to Baylor.

I remember a few years ago (I guess before Briles got there) thinking Baylor would never be able to compete with Texas and Oklahoma and I felt sorry for them being in the Big XII. Congrats, indeed!

It's official. Banowsky and Massaro worked out a deal to get Middle Tennessee in the Armed Forces Bowl instead of sending them off to Hawai'i. MT takes Mountain West's spot.
