The ONLY thing that should matter is whether or not they are a good coach. That's what they are hired for, not so people can discuss what does or does not happen in their bedroom.
Coaches win and lose. If they lose a lot, coaches get fired. It's just business. Karl Malone may complain as loudly as he wants to. He has done it before. I'll complain a few times as well. But I will never stop loving my school and I will never stop supporting the athletic program even when things don't go the way I want them to go. Go hunt and fish for a while Karl.
You are exactly right and dear God please let the powers that be not have their head buried in their own asses like some of the people on here that feel otherwise. I am all about people being able to voice their opinions but recruits need to understand the minority of Lady Techsters fans have the beliefs that only straight people should be a part of the program. They are just a very small part of the overall support that loves the program. Look over them and ignore their comments.
What is Nell Fortner doing now? Very nice lady and a great coach.
Should this committee of "so many of us" also decide whether the sexuality of all student-athletes falls within its restricted range of approval?

Coach TSpoon took us to 2 NCAA tournaments in her 5 years and men's haven't been since 1991, I would call that an achievement in it's on right!
Lesbion or not she will always be a awesome LaTech legend!
Perhaps some of those that have the god given right to judge, should check out the future atheletes that might want to play for the Men's or Women's programs at LaTech as well and see their sexual prefferences before having them signing that letter.
I have to say that I am really torn about the current Techsters, if they stay and all the recruits stay committed the next coach would get the credit for doing a great coaching job, it they leave we will be lucky to get even 10 wins!
I sure hope you are all happy and it would be unfortunate if someone donated the by out and LaTech didn't have to come up with the cold hard cash for her dismissal
I have no doubt that Coach TSpoon would have had another banner in the TAC and us back in the NCAA if she would have been allowed to finish what she started!
The Administration should have known what Coach TSpoon had in the wings for next year!

I agree with moving this to The Pit! We need to hire the best coach available period! It is a slam against our athletes, students, and our university to state some of the things on this thread. Everyone has free speech, but don't be upset when someone voices their free speech in return.
Now, on to hiring the best! Going to be tough and the comments on here are not helping with keeping our players and recruits.
I will add that this is the time the Tech family needs to be coming together and not sniping at each other. Let's form a united bond and show current players and recruits that we are standing with them 100% for the future. Same for whomever is our incoming coach!
Also, we need to show that (even though it didn't work out) that we love Spoon unconditionally for what she has meant for our program in the past. We should never toss aside our former greats.....
