Gonna miss these guys! Core part of the team that I started following 2 seasons ago. Great job guys.
Thank you guys for the memories! You guys helped bring back Dunkin Dawg Basketball!
The class with class. Awesome group. Thanks for the memories.
Unselfish and special. Those are the two words that come to mind with these guys. Class acts. Saw Kenyon go up and pat Heem on the back after his missed three. Gonna miss these guys.
Thank you seniors! This was a special year and you have given us the foundation that will define this program!
Proud, Very proud. You guys converted my UT son. Said it was the best bb he had seen in years..
I 100% agree with this and I am sure all of the other Bulldawg fans do as well. I also want to recognize each of this year's Seniors for really stepping up their game their Senior Year and showing how to be True Leaders. In fact, everyone on the team stepped up their game this year, especially after Heem was injuried!
I will miss their families also in Sec 107 come next year -
And seeing them on road trips -
Great group of guys who gave their all
''Don't be a bad dagh..."
It's easy to say that we are proud of this group of seniors, and we all are. But, when you actually list their accomplishments, you see just how much we (and they) have to be proud of. Here is a breakdown of the past 4 seasons -- the careers of this senior class -- compared to the 10 years prior to their arrival.
Season Record Win % Confernce Champ Postseason 2000-01 17-12 58.6 2001-02 22-10 68.8 NIT 2002-03 12-15 44.4 2003-04 15-15 50 2004-05 14-15 48.3 2005-06 20-13 60.6 NIT 2006-07 10-20 33.3 2007-08 6-24 20 2008-09 15-18 45.4 2009-10 24-11 68.5 CIT TOTAL 155-153 50.3 None 3 2010-11 12-20 37.5 2011-12 18-16 60 2012-13 27-7 79.4 WAC NIT 2013-14 29-8 78.3 C-USA NIT TOTAL 86-51 62.7 2 2
And, this doesn't even mention guys who set individual records, such as Kenyon setting the 3-point record, or players who are on pace to set records, such as Kyser with blocks.
These guys joined a program that was struggling and they turned it around. Of course, Coach White has a lot to do with it as well, but the future looks better than the past.
Big thanks to this senior class. They have as many post season appearances in the last two years, as the program had in the 10 years before they showed up, since the CIT doesn't really count and you have to pay a fee to play in it (and, if you go back further, we hadn't been to a postseason tourney since 1992). They won two conference championships in two different conferences. In 1999, we won the Sunbelt conference championship, but before that, you had to go back to the early Jerry Loyd days.
The loss from last night probably still stings, but when they are able to look past that, they will see that they accomplished great things for our program and they have much to be proud of. In the last two seasons they have a record of 56-15 (78.8 win %) with two conference championships and two tourney appearances, with wins in each tourney.

What a great group of seniors, thanks for the memories
now after life as a Tech basketball player, if any of you guys are reading this and happen to end up taking jobs in Shreveport, I could definitely make room on our Shreveport city league team for each of you!!
You may have WAC and CUSA championships belts, but there would be nothing like a SPAR championship!
