This day in history, June 4, 1783, the Montgolfier brothers first publicly demonstrated their invention the hot-air balloon, which did not carry any passengers, over Annonay, France. Today most demonstrations of hot-air bags of wind are democrats!!
No interesting birthdays today, but from today's radio a few things you've never heard anybody say (I amended one of them):
- Thanks for fixing the computer, grandma,.
- I shoulda had more shots of tequila last night.
- Yeah, I've got that song on my ipod, but I like the Glee version better.
- I'm worried I may not be watching enough of the 'housewives" shows.
- I'm the head fact checker for Al Sharpton.
- We're so luck to have Missy running our local bowl. (I have gotten to know two of their staff somewhat and they are quality, nice, good guys. If they were the "face" of the bowl I'd join, recruit others, really get involved. I've got to tone it down some out of respect for those I've gotten to know).
Yesterday was Repeat Day!
Today is Old Maid Day!

On this day in History in 1919Congress approved the 19th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, guaranteeing citizens the right to vote regardless of their gender and sent it to the states for ratification. (Women got the right to vote.)
I'm here in Colorado Springs this week on bidness and just checking in to see how things are going. Glad to see that we haven't come up on the "pre Snap Read" and dawg80 is still up to his perverted ways on BTEII...Good stuff tho!
Yesterday was National Cognac Day!
Today is Hot Air Balloon Day!
Tomorrow is National Doughnut Day!

Having trouble posting on BB&B in the past few days. Sometimes when going to last page of a thread or trying to post...I just get a solid white page. No smilies anymore!
