Saw we're planning on doing a new commercial for ESPN, they want fans to be in it. Interviews at Alumni Center tomorrow. I'd like to make it but unfortunately I think my prior engagements will overrun it. Anyone else hear about this? Jimmy Washington sent out an email to the students, and I suspect others as well.
I'm a student. Didn't get email (although Tech email takes a while). Can you post details like a time?

Since we don't play on ESPN, why are we doing an ESPN commercial? ESPN is not our friend.

Only 3 students showed up to do it. Anyway, if we get a call back we'll go down to BR on Tuesday or Wednesday. I'll keep you updated if I hear anything/get called down.
Communication fail.
Not Jimmy's fault. He got the call around noon yesterday, immediately sent out the email. The Tech email server is notorious for delaying emails - I got it around 7:30, some didn't even get it at all.
It seems they could have contacted certain "target" students. Too bad there was not more notice. Even if we're not playing on ESPN, exposure is good.
$EC Network is E$PN. High likelihood of the Auburn game ending up there. Not much need for anything for ULL on E$PN3.
That's a good idea but I've got no idea how they'd even do that.
Contact some cheerleaders, band members, SGA officers, officers of campus organizations, Miss Louisiana Tech...maybe contact department heads or staff in Student Affairs to ask if they have student leaders from their departments or units on campus this summer. There are several ideas I rattled off with little forethought.
You just had bunches of fired up incoming kids there for orientation. I know they're not there yet, but contact the osl's. Hit em up on twitter.
Seems like getting some warm bodies -even in Ruston in summer - wouldn't be that hard. Maybe just me, though...
If it's anything like when I was there 5 years ago, it would have been pretty damn hard. You have to remember, this is BBB and we all bleed Red and Blue so we all would have been there in a heartbeat, but not everybody that attends Louisiana Tech University does...
