Dead horse...
You are a dick... some things never change.
I like the red T, as do many others... Again, the argument that its on a red helmet doesn't fly in my opinion. Able to see the Texans logo on their helmet? Falcons? Tiger on the LSU helmet? What about the top of this page... able to see the blue state being that its on a blue background?? Fact is no one can make out helmet logos from the stands, nor from the wide angle camera view. Up close shots are when helmet logos are seen, and in these shots the red T is as visible as the white T, only it is uniform with our branding. The white T on the blue state is ugly regardless of background color, in my opinion of course.
And this thread is not needed considering this is old news and there are countless endless threads debating the topic.
My argument has always been that they changed something that didn't need to be changed. No explanation was ever given. They (apparently he) just changed one of our oldest color schemes. None of those who "like the red T" were asking that it be changed from white to red.
BTW, you can't make out the tiger on the lsu helmet. THE worst helmet design in the SEC.
Walking through the bookstore today, I think there is a clandestine mission to replace the state-T.
Nothing covert about it. It's an overt sign of disconnection and ignorance that comes from the bookstore being distinct from the university. Yes, I know it's commonly done other places and there is something "big time" about it. And yes, I know the bookstore was not great with marketing/branding prior to Barnes & Noble, but I think as a whole, the university was less in tune then than it is now.
Do many here just hate a bulldog logo in general, or just ours in particular? Just wondering because that is our mascot.
