My observation is that they lost control by allowing UTSA to play "dirty," which is Coker's MO from what I have read over the years. Tech was fortunate to win the game. I haven't read the stats but the defense played very well, sans the 3rd and 30 that was converted. Missed tackles on that play and a few others as well.
. We were saying same thing about getting caught up in dirty play. Refs let it get out of control. I do DISAGREE about lucky to win. Our defense earned win. Qb gets fluke td on busted play and trick double pass. Dixon became all time leader in 100 yard rushing games. They were lucky ones to make game close-- we were better team, not luckier team

The crowd I saw today was the same crowd I've seen for the last 10 years. Everyone's commented on the need to win consistently. I expected this crowd and recognize the issues the interfere with attendance...BUT we need to recapture student momentum because that's the future of the program.

So.......are any of you guys going to hold our young AD accountable? After all, it's his job to build up our fan base.

Where do you work in Jackson, if you don't mind my asking. Man, the streets are terrible. You would think the City of Jackson would have enough pride to at least keep the streets near the Capitol building in good shape. The work they are doing with the round abouts is a cluster. Maybe I'm wrong but it seems to be poor design and will hinder traffic flow. If you haven't, I suggest having a nice dinner at Parlor Market. I'm in downtown Jackson regularly and if you are in that area for work maybe we could have lunch @ Two Sisters or the Elite.

I fully intend on it, or at least trying. Its my impression that there was not much marketing of the game and we're not really being able to utilize the press effectively. I could be wrong though.

i listened and instead of bitching about the people who didn't show up, Jared should have talked about the game to what Tech could do the next time to get more students in the stands

I'm surprised at how shocked a lot of people are about the attendance. Between kids events, the number of out of town fans, and that college students are not very active before noon on Saturdays . . . what is the mystery? Games that start before 6:00 are automatic failures.

Can someone please summarize what was actually said?

I did not listen to today's call-in show, but I can say that this years show is not what it once was. The hosts should criticize, it makes good radio and thus people will listen. A sales pitch is not good radio. The northwestern state call-in show was particularly bad.

. We don't have enought " must see " rivalries. Hawaii, Fresno were games we new could get nasty. I for one think world of mouth will bring buzz to next San Antonio game-- lets get more rivalries. Ps, they did bring decent group

I am sunburnt! Shoulda used sunscreen. I was in my customary spot on the east side, near the 50. Stood the whole game again! Heck! I'm just glad my knees seem to have gotten better. (small things....)

The whole atmoshere was lackluster, and the lousy play of the team in the 1st half lulled everyone asleep. Group of students near me tried and tried to stir things up, but nothing worked. It was the early start time, and boring football that kept things mostly quiet. Oh well! Guess we'll see how it goes for the WKU game.

. Preach?? Good grief, that's BBB-- ok with status quo?? Hell no-- we are doing something about it. We got cub scouts over, half dozen adult folks over who have never been to tech game before. Buy extra season tickets ( football and basketball) doubled LTAC and alumni fund- sponsor Tag even -- missed less than 5 games since 66 . Sponsoring men and women's attendance to NBA game next Thursday (. 52 tickets over a grand)-- Do Not give me BS about accepting status quo-- i am doing what I can to make a difference. You really picking wrong guy to disrespect --

I agree with everything you just said. It was one if the most boring games of all time in JAS. Unlike the UTEP game that was full of big offensive plays, this UTSA game had ZERO big plays by our offense. That leads to a boring game. Oh....and I got sunburned too.
