I came onto this board right dab in the middle of the Joakes/ Bickenell era. Everyday is a holiday compared to then. The end of 2012 was bad simply because we actually thought we were past the amaturish crap.
I was around then. Bicknell was up and down. Some good years, some bad. Inconsistent. His last year was VERY bad, and the criticism was VERY deserved.... we hit rock bottom and he took us there. Holtz inherited a bad situation and didn't deserve the same ridicule Bicknell got. He deserved a chance to recruit and build his program the way he wanted it to be.
We are no different than the big schools, imo.

Holtz deserved everything that was said last year. However; a lot of it would probably have died down and if you hadn't been so determined to defend him and waited to instead say I told you so.
I never defended him, I just said he inherited a mess and we would find out more about him next year. I gave him a pass, basically. If we would have gone 4-8 this year, I would have been in the lynch mob too.Holtz deserved everything that was said last year. The good news was always followed by us not going to a bowl. Ill never forget sitting in the back of the Dominos where I worked and hearing that we werent goint to Detroit.
Tigerdropping made national news not too long ago over the Charlese Theron/ Ark Judge deal. Those suckers are worse on their board than in person and thats saying something.
