You can't park in the fair grounds without paying. If you park outside the fair grounds (on someone's lot or front yard), there would be a chance of towing if you paid someone other than the property owner. There is more than enough parking in the fair grounds.

Don't forget that you called the Aspire ticket office at LATech. I think they are doing a really good job of handling the flow of inbound traffic. It isn't their fault that the plans of others are not finalized. They are not Tech, they are contractors. Even though we hoped to go to Dallas, we could plan but we could not execute until we had an official invite. The HOD bowl office has been working with the conference office, the athletics department and with the alumni association to finalize those events. As much as can be confirmed by then will be shared Wednesday night at the bowl preview show. I appreciate that we live in a fast paced world, but you still have to dot your I's and cross your T's with final contracts for these arraignments. And getting things done on a Sunday, even in Dallas, can be a challenge.

I am just glad they this group has been out in front on making tickets available to Tech fans thru Tech and not missing out on those sales while we wait to know every possible event detail.

The reason I always take the DART train down there, that and vandalism. Always park in the main sections and pay the money. Do not park off-site to save a little money. I've heard too many horror stories on getting towed from off-site locations.

The Parking Pass through the HOD is $24.50 (including fee). Does anyone know if there is cheaper parking or should I just spring for the pass?

You will want the parking pass if you aren't taking the metro to the game. Do not park outside of the fair grounds. It's in a pretty tough area of town.

I trust that someone will give details on how everything shakes out in the end. The sections that were listed as the location of the general admission tickets available through the Tech ticket office early on were in the GA sections in the end zones that are listed as $50.00 on HOD's website - making it look like Tech was charging $75.00 for $50.00 tickets. The sections currently listed are 5 and 6; and 21 and 22. Sections 5 and 6 are on the Illinois side. At least all of the tickets are in the higher price sections.

I realize that there is going to be a lot of confusion early on in the process, and people are pushing for information right now!!!!! But, it they could have said something as simple as: "Tech's ticket allotment is in sections 21 - 25. Tickets are $75.00 each and will be assigned based on .... For now, all tickets are listed as general admission, but actual seats will be assigned" If the early buyers end up in the end zone paying $75 for $50 seats, and the later buyers end up in the better sections, it's not going to be pretty.

It's not the first time a bowl has been played at the Cotton Bowl. There has got to be a better way to handle it. I'd be glad to serve as a consultant for the next bowl (for a small fee of course).

Please purchase your game tickets thru LA Tech's ticket office instead of thru other avenues.

Everyone needs to remember that a huge part of the schools bowl compensation is through selling our alloted tickets. Every ticket sold through Tech is to our credit. Also, for peace of mind and also the most simplest, just park in the fairground lots. There will be plenty of space, car is safe, & probably cheapest in long run.

Why couldn't the "free" t-shirt have been a commerative bowl t-shirt? I live in Shreveport. Why would I want a shirt that says "Dallas is Bulldog Country!"
