LOL. What bowl has a good date?! They all conflict with Christmas or New Years plans with the exception of the bowls that are kind of . . . well crappy. December 20th at 10:00 in the morning is a good example of a lousy time.

It's bad. But I think people would have better luck going to New Orleans on the 19th, stay the night, and go to the game in the morning than going to Dallas on Christmas. Off the top of my head the Boca Bowl is pretty good in primetime on the 23rd. Time to get home before Christmas. For HOD Saturday the 27th instead of Friday the 26th would've made a huge difference.

Any day prior to Christmas Eve would be a big problem for most people trying to get their last shopping done, travel to family,... After Christmas is about as good as it gets.

When my mom asked me at Tgiving what our Christmas plans would be, I told her we couldn't really committ to any plans until we knew what bowl game Tech was going to.

All the previous Heart of Dallas Bowls were played on New Year's Day on ESPNU. Then HOD (Banowsky and co.) sold the bowl to ESPN this year...

I'm not the quality of supporter that most on bbb. I average 1-2 games a year. I think the only away game I have been to outside of LA is Baylor years ago. But I have never been to a bowl other than Indy. Never been to the cotton bowl stadium. Always like to see tech play a p-5 team. And gives me something to do with the family that day. Looking forward to it.

Taking the DART rail down to Cotton Bowl Stadium, will be home in about an hour after the game.
An excellent change of pace for the Tech alumni in DFW.

Will already be down the bayou for the holidays. I bought my two tickets to the game and gave them to a client and his son. Hey, maybe we'll get a two more Tech fans out of it?

I am highly disappointed that I can't go to the game, but my sister's giving birth to her first born today, so I will be visiting my family, whom I only see maybe once per year if I'm lucky... I only get a couple of days or so to even be in Louisiana due to my wife's work schedule, so I just unfortunately can't make it to Dallas... I'll be holding my new nephew, however, and trying to flood him with Tech stuff to combat the pile of LSUseless crap he probably already has.
