Who cares whats going on in Baton Rouge? Our basketball team has a 24 home game (or something close to it) winning streak going on.

2 names Mike Shula, Mike Dubose. No one is immune. LSU still has a pile of talent, but they aren't well coached.

That is a silly statement. Saban and Miles won't live forever. Rules change. Players come and go.

Actually his best attribute is his Reputation. The man has been a legend working with inner city kids and impacting lives of young men. He is a living lagend not only for winning championships but working tirelessly to help others. Class guy. Those attributes seem out of place in BR. We are fortunate to have him --probably reason we got Dancy

I think it was Kenneth Dixon that recruited Dancy. Dancy didn't even consider going anywhere else.

"Dance, I love Tech. I love my Head Coach and I really love JJ- he is there for me good or bad. " Kenneth love Dykes and he loves Holtz/JJ and Tech. Fair to say Kenneth closed the deal for us -- no problem with that. Think they both have comfort level with JJ--

It is what it is and folks in BR are nervous.
I agree with your entire post. That said, I don't think UT will be down that much longer. I think A&M will stay good but Strong just needed a year or two to clean house and get rid of the rif-raf. And even with the poor showing this year their class was just as good as A&Ms. It was nearly identical. If that's what happens when they are mediocre what happens when they win 10 games? At the end of the day, Texas is big enough that both schools can win big. Like you said it just means less kids will go out of state.

But to your point, A&M has a lot of Mojo in this state right now. You can feel it. .....all the way over in Baton Rouge.......

Most of the mojo is in your mind. TAMU signed only two top ten players in state of Texas, LSU signed one. So, TAMU only signed one more top 10 player in their own state. The SEC signed four top ten players in the state of Texas-twice as many as TAMU! That can be felt.....all the way to College Station.

I don't disagree one bit with anything you said. Texas won't be down for long and in that Conference it doesn't take much. Our friend Woof seems to be a bit blind to the fact that College Station is taking its toll on BR.

You do realize that LSU has beaten TAMU the last four times they have played, don't you? You do realize that TAMU hasn't had a winning record in SEC play for the last two years, don't you? You do realize that TAMU placed fifth in team recruiting in the SEC this year, don't you? You do realize that LSU signed five players from the state of Texas this year, including one five star and one four star, don't you? You do realize that this year LSU signed more players from the state of Texas than TAMU signed from the state of Louisiana, don't you? What toll are you talking about, a toll road?

You do realize you sound like a huge LSU Homer right? I am just telling you the buzz in Texas is all about A&M right now. I am also telling you that the buzz in BR is that folks aren't gonna tolerate 8 and 9 win seasons with out some serious results. You keep harping on A&M and if you go back and read my post you will see I wasn't just talking about them. Alabama, Auburn, Arkansas have all started making in roads into LA. LSU can have all the top ten recruiting classes they want but you have to be able to coach those classes to victories against other top ten recruiting classes. I am not saying that LSU is going to fall into the depths of Curly Hallman Despair but that they are not happy and its a tumultous situation on Nicholson Dr.
