Chicken and dumplings. Any time my wife says she is making that for supper, I just tell her I would rather have food. Just add salt and pepper to styrofoam and you have the same thing.

Okay, dumplins. Autocorrect on phone throws it in there and I didn't check it before. You are probably right about it being in the name though. Almost anything with "dump" in the name is bad.

having had both, i make a distinction:
rats are scary because they are big and bold and can bite and make a big mess. but they're relatively easy to catch and kill, and it's usually pretty easy to figure out how they got inside the house and stop it from happening again.
mice are scary because by the time you realize you have one, you may have a whole family. that whole family can turn into a whole colony if you don't act fast. it is also sometimes very difficult to figure out how they got inside in the first place, the tiny little buggers.
well, i'm not going to let this little dude just stroll into my pantry, eat my slim jims, poop on the shelf and go back to sleep with his family in his cozy little insulation house. he takes his last bite of slim jim tonight.
I did say almost anything. Dumpcake is pure gold.
I think my deal with chicken and dumplins is that it is bland and tasteless. I have had it cooked by many people, over many years, and a handful of ways and I don't like it. Give me a slab of meat with some solid seasoning cooked on a Big Green Egg.
