My biggest issue is on the academic side of the equation with the support staff - especially after the near bowl fiasco

Even though the school hasn't released it, we lost our best guy to Georgia Southern for a mere $20k increase and it appears we are going CHEAP again and double task load on the existing skeleton staff...

OK so start a thread on those issues, or general Ath. Dept. concerns, the activity of shooting down everything he does because of issues in other areas comes off as petty and makes it seem like a personal vendetta. This isn't a bad deal, and to poo-poo it because he's not performing well in other areas does no one any good.

    Is it a good deal?

Looks great from a distance but looks more like a butter-face to me when you get up close

Personally I feel we got WELL below market for our services and as much as I wanted Southern here, it appears we grossly overpaid for that game...

You are a numbers guy - do the ciphering and convince me otherwise

Maybe some are but the people I am talking to are looking forward to not being invited back to Baylor for another 25 years after we kick that ***!! We are already giving our boss heck about this game. Honestly, it is a win win situation for them. Art Briles will be gone (one way or another) before this game arrives.

Hmmm.... So we hire a 31 yr. old AD on the cheap and wonder why he can't change the culture of mediocrity at LA Tech/La Tech that has existed for a long time. Talk about expectations! Hell, I remember threads where we were ecstatic because Dooley actually used a power washer on the facilities. Now we are talking to a Top 10 team about a series......The left hand hasn't given a damn about the right hand since our current AD was in grade school. Red dot away!

It could, but it won't be signed. No reason for any school with money to sign something that money can't get them out of. I would love to see contracts with outrageous buyouts. I would love to see coaching contracts that require home games from schools that hire our coaches away. I would love to just see contracts across the board that have to be honored. Will never happen.

I refuse to get excited about a home game with a decent ooc until I am parking my truck and walking up to the gate.
