Hoop Troop needs Mardi Gras beads
If you live in the Ruston area and have extra Mardi Gras beads to donate for this weeks trip, please drop off at band hall sometime today! Hoop Troop and Cheer leaving for Birmingham Wednesday morning at 430am.

The Hoop Troop gets us a lot of "temporary" fans because they do many things like this. Many fans of other schools cheer for our team because of their admiration of the Hoop Troop. I wish I had some beads to donate.
This started in 2002 at the WAC tournament in Tulsa (Donald W. Reynolds Center). Locals and fans of other schools went crazy over those plastic beads.
During that time, Hawaii and Tech pep bands were the best of the WAC.

I have tons and tons of them, but am in Texas...... Hopefully, they get a bunch from the surrounding community. It is part of what makes them stand out - other than the fact that they are the best pep band in the land!
Crap... I've got a hundred or so that are tied up in a grocery bag in the garage. Anyone passing through Skreeport heading to Ruston today??
