Champ, if your're referring to me, the information in the thread was interesting. It was the title that bothered me.

    Got it. Thanks for clarifying.

But my peeve remains ... eg. "This whole thread is stupid!"

This is not the reid-pelosi congress, we actually read it before declaring something stupid.

The goobers on afternoon drive time - they are totally clueless about the vast majority of sports...

How the sponsors can continually support that is beyond me

Are you kidding? One of them coached in college and was an AD. He won a NC.

We need more Sanantonio(what Karl Benson calls him) and Nick Brown.

    So did Larry Cooker...

Even my 11 year old will comment every now and that - "That's Just Wrong Dad - so and so did that and the Pels, Tech, Baylor or Saints or Eagles are looking at this..."

A notable exception would be my brother. He prefers it, especially in written correspondence, for efficiency reasons. It also takes a lot more effort to get those two b's out. I've come around on it and find the b's are quite superfluous for day-to-day use (in much the same way that "y'all" is superior to other ways of denoting a group). I reserve the b's to better distinguish between probability in the statistical sense and probably in the "Lord willing and the creek don't rise" sense.

It's essentially a contraction. Maybe we should start writing it pro'ly. Would that sit better with you?

Graduation ceremonies are examples of how much our society has gone down hill. Even "well to do" people act like fools. Evidence that money does not buy class.

I bet some who read this will not understand the problem with yelling and screaming for "little Johnny" as he receives his high school (or college) diploma.

People who sit on the end of an open row seats or chairs then give you the eye when you say excuse me and try to get by them to a middle seat. People who do this at funerals are the worst.
