Someone Has Finally Listened - Southern Univeristy Coming to Ruston in 2015

I consider myself to be a true sports fan, although my primary focus, at least for college athletics, is the Southern Jaguars. But I can truly say I have never seen a televised sporting event involving Louisiana Tech.

That's okay, I've never seen a televised sporting event involving Southern. Not that y'all aren't on there somewhere, I just don't look for you.

Correction: I did watch parts of a recent broadcast this past spring involving Louisiana Tech's basketball team. I don't remember who they played or whether they won or lost.

Maybe not over the air to the ole rabbit ears, but most any sports fan should have FS1, FS2, CBS Sports, and a host of other channels... All of which Tech has been shown on in the past two years alone.

And I agree with Terence, this game will resemble the ULL game last year. A lot to a little.

No offense but why should the average Southern Fan know much about LaTech?

1) Most live in Baton Rouge or the local area where LSU/SU/Saints are king

2) There's no radio broadcasting of LaTech games

3) There's hardly if any ever tv broadcasting of your games

4) They spend their time either watching their team or LSU when not participating at the games.

I live in Baton Rouge and know a little about SU, and I promise Red Stick is BULLDOG Country.

It was never said that the games weren't televised. Just that they were RARELY televised.

Simply put Baton Rouge is SEC/SWAC country, which isn't something to get all huffy about.

I would imagine that Ruston is C-USA/SEC country. It only make sense that people support their own.

Any expectations of anything more just isn't base on reality.

Not sure I would root for SU over Grambling. Coach Robinson had a great relationship with Coach AL Williams, I know that much. And, I've bought much alcohol in Grambling.
