That's what I'm afraid of too.
His refusal to support the nominee really turned me the wrong way. The Republican Party is clearly divided between the establishment and the Conservative wing. Regardless of who the nominee winds up being, he/she needs all the support they can get from the right side of the aisle. A third candidate that is likely to draw right wing votes is the worst thing that could happen to the GOP in the general election.
You could see the anger rising up when she asked him that question. You knew he was about to screw it up and he did.
He did back off a bit on the Indy candidate thing this morning.
I want him to keep doing well because I believe it keeps the front runners on their toes.
Anyone else think Jeb reminded them of Chevy Chase? Everytime he spoke, it's all I could think about. Chevy Chase in Hot Tub Time Machine.
That is almost an exact repeat of Bush / Perot / Clinton. Now it's Bush / Trump / Clinton. (and Clinton will win again).
Nevermind... you were saying without Trump. I agree with that also. I hear about 4 million Republicans refused to vote for Romney (they just didn't vote at all).
I agree. Trump had a chance to make ground last night and didn't for sure. I can't imagine how anyone could vote for him with his attitude, and that answer about his 4 bankruptcies made me want to throttle him myself.
My top 3 would be Cruz, Rubio, and Huckabee at this point. The bottom for me is Bush and Trump- don't want either of them. I do like the interest Trump brings to the table though- he is making people address issues they would not have talked about.
Huckabee's closing shot was excellent. It was a great way to attack Trump and Hillary at the same time and use humor in doing so. Here it is in case you missed it.

I don't want Bush to win the nomination; however, I'd still vote for him in the general election if he was up against Hillary, moreso as an anti-Hillary vote than a pro-Bush vote.
All sides of the GOP don't necessarily have to support the nominee, but they need to vote for him/her if they are truly against Hillary being in office, which I think is the one thing that the GOP can stand together on right now.
