Re: If you want a thread to die

I found this to be interesting! I doubt it is 100% true, but it makes one think.

Wonder why our young people are skipping marriage and are just living together?

Follow these 13 proven steps to financial well-being:

    1. Don't get married to her.

    2. Use your mom's address for mail.

    3. Guy, (YOU) buy a house.

    4. Guy rents out house to his girlfriend who has 2 of his kids.

    5. Section 8 will pay $900 a month for a 3 bedroom home.

    6. Girlfriend signs up for Obamacare so guy doesn't have to pay for
    family insurance.

    7. Girlfriend gets to go to college free for being a single mother.

    8. Girlfriend gets $600 a month for food stamps.

    9. Girlfriend gets free cell phone.

    10. Girlfriend gets free utilities.

    11. Guy moves into home but uses mom's house to get mail sent to.

    12. Girlfriend claims one kid and guy claims one kid on taxes. Now
both get to claim head of household at $1800 credit!

    13. Girlfriend gets disability for being "crazy" or having a "bad back" at $1800 a
month and never has to work again.

This plan is perfectly legal and is being executed now by millions of people.

A married couple with a stay-at-home mom yields $0.00 dollars

An unmarried couple with stay-at-home mom nets: $21,600 disability +$10,800 free housing +

    $6,000 free Obamacare +

    $6,000 free food +

    $4,800 free utilities +

$6,000 Pell grant money to spend +

$12,000 a year in college tuition free from Pell grant +

$8,800 tax benefit for being a single mother

    = $75,000 a year in benefits

Any idea why the country is 18+ trillion $$$ in debt???

That is part of it. Entitlement is also a huge part. And, lack of jobs!

Hey Champ967 who do you think paid Social Security for over 40 years and Medicare since inception? These are not free, nor are they "entitlements" in the classical welfare since. I know the Social Security payment pain as I have had to pay it myself and for myself for the last 30 years. That rate is over 15 per cent if you're self employed like I am. I am retired and still have to pay it and if I make too much money I will have to pay tax on my Social Security on which I have already paid taxes.

22 days Thursday til our first football game of the 2015 season in Ruston. Three weeks and a day til kickoff. GO DOGS!!
    • #22 Jarred Craft Bulldog sophomore running back from HAUGHTON. Craft rushed for 294 yards and four touchdowns as a freshman. Touchdowns came in big games, vs rival ULL, CUSA west division title game vs Rice (58 yard TD run), Zaxby's HOD Bowl (opening score), UTEP. What BBB poster brought Jarred to Tech football games with FBC Haughton Sunday School class as an 8th and 9th grader? GREAT KSLA feature here on Craft and Haughton's Marlon Seets, that the team calls the "Haughton Deluxe" when they're in the backfield with Dixon. Oh my, ya gotta love it: http://www.ktbs.com/story/29365118/j...ear-at-la-tech
    • #22 Emmitt Smith all time leading rusher in the NFL with 18,355 yards. Emmitt is probably the most complete running back too. He could do it all well: accelerate and rush for yardage, make key blocks for Troy Aikman, and catch Troy's passes in the flat. Here are some of Emmitt's credentials:
      • NFL All-time leading rusher with 18,355 yards
      • 166 touchdowns as a running back ranks 1st all-time
      • 1,586 postseason rushing yards ranks 1st all-time
      • 21 playoff touchdowns ties him with Thurman Thomas for the all-time record
      • Super Bowl XXVIII MVP
      • 1993 NFL MVP
      • Set the University of Florida single-game rushing record in his first start at the school?

Re: If you want a thread to die

Ok.....I also found this to be interesting:

What a wonderful story ---- I never knew............

As a boy, Jesse was a chicken plucker. That's right.

He stood on a line in a chicken factory and spent his days

Pulling the feathers off dead chickens so the rest of us

    Wouldn't have to.

It wasn't much of a job. But at the time,

Jesse didn't think he was much of a person.

His father was a brute of a man.

His dad was actually thought to be mentally ill

And treated Jesse rough all of his life.

Jesse's older brother wasn't much better.

He was always picking on Jesse and beating him up.

Yes, Jesse grew up in a very rough home in

West Virginia. Life was anything but easy.

And he thought life didn't hold much hope for him.

That's why he was standing in this chicken line,

Doing a job that darn few people wanted.

In addition to all the rough treatment at home, it seems

    That Jesse was always sick.

Sometimes it was real physical illness,

But way too often it was all in his head.

He was a small child, skinny and meek.

That sure didn't help the situation any.

When he started to school, he was the object of every

    Bully on the playground.

He was a hypochondriac of the first order.

For Jesse, tomorrow was not always something he

    Looked forward to.

But, he had dreams. He wanted to be a ventriloquist.

He found books on ventriloquism. He practiced with

Sock puppets and saved his hard earned dollars until

He could get a real ventriloquist dummy.

When he got old enough, he joined the military.

And even though many of his hypochondriac symptoms

Persisted, the military did recognize his talents and

Put him in the entertainment corp.

That was when his world changed.

    He gained confidence.

He found that he had a talent for making people laugh,

And laugh so hard they often had tears in their eyes.

Yes, little Jesse had found himself.

You know, folks, the history books are full of people

Who overcame a handicap to go on and make a success

Of themselves, but Jesse is one of the few I know of

Who didn't overcome it. Instead he used his paranoia

To make a million dollars, and become one of

The best-loved characters of all time in doing it!

Yes, that little paranoid hypochondriac, who transferred

His nervousness into a successful career, still holds the

Record for the most Emmy's given in a single category.

The wonderful, gifted, talented, and nervous comedian

    Who brought us

Barney Fife (The Andy Griffith Show)

    Was

    Jesse Don Knotts.

NOW YOU KNOW, "THE REST OF THE STORY"

    Jesse Donald 'Don' Knotts

    (July 21, 1924 - February 24, 2006)

There is a street named for him and his statue in

Morgantown, West Virginia, his place of birth.

Looks like cow bells ARE allowed at the stadium for the Mississippi State Game! I'm taking mine!!! Here are the rules for prohibited items for Davis Wade Stadium:
    Prohibited Items:
Alcohol, bags/backpacks (larger than 14 in. x 14 in. x 8 in.), balls, banners, beverages, bottles, cameras with detachable lenses, containers, drugs, fireworks, flags, food, frisbees, handheld radios and televisions (permitted with headsets), ice chests, irritants, firearms, knives, noisemakers (except cowbells), picnic baskets, signs, thermoses, video cameras or weapons are prohibited in the stadium. Gate personnel are instructed to enforce this rule. Stadium security has the right to inspect any item at any time for the purpose of spectator safety. Prohibited items must be returned to cars or disposed of before entering the stadium.

    • #21 Adairius Barnes, senior Bulldog cornerback!! Finished 2014 second on the team with five interceptions and tied for the team lead with nine pass break-ups while recording 46 total tackles (30 solo, 16 assisted) and four tackles for a loss of 17 yards. In 2013 played in all 12 games, starting in 11 as he made 49 total tackles (31 solo, 18 assisted) with one tackle for a loss of five yards which was a sack, led the team with four interceptions returned for 70 yards, recovered two fumbles, forced one fumble and was credited with seven pass break-ups. Did you know: DogSince65 is the founding president of the Adairius Barnes Fan Club!! Ya gott see Adairious 2014 highlights: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v= ZMsASDJV2KY
    • #21 Roberto Clemente, Pittsburgh Pirates legend. The pick for the best athlete to wear number 21 may be the most difficult choice of them all. It was neck and neck on this decision. Warren Spahn versus Roberto Clemente. Pitcher versus Hitter. In the end, Roberto's offensive prowess, combined with his defensive strength, proved to be the tie breaker.

Hit better than .300 for the season, thirteen times
