You might try Lincoln Parish Park considered one of the best kept secrets for RVers. It pretty much has everything but is 8-10 miles from Tech. Very nice place. All other commercial RV parks are full because of the heavy influx of pipe line construction crews and oil field workers in general.
I'm very surprised that you guys don't have enough accommodations for fans RV's. It would be a great way to raise more funds and maybe help solve some of your attendance problems.
A large contingent of our fans only travel in their RVs
He's telling the truth. SU normally has 300-400 RV's at home games. None of our opponents on our level besides maybe Jackson State has a large RV contingent. Even ULL accommodated SU's RV community by giving them the area around the Cagin Dome, even though it wasn't nearly large enough. SU literally took over Lafayette the first time we played. The 2nd game they tried to give ULL fans first chance to buy tickets by sending a limited amount to SU, but it backfired on them because it rained that weekend, and the walk up crowd was as large because of the weather.
You're wasting your breath trying to talk sense into that guy. He tends to get into his feeling like a Lil girl whenever he feels tech is being slighted.
He's one of those that think just because Tech plays in a division that has one letter before ours, that automatically makes them big time.
The fact that he professes to know what accommodation troubles I may or may not have had, during my long time of following my beloved Jaguars, speaks volumes of his sanity.
That's why I put him on my ignore list.
Haven't been to a Longhorns game in Austin have ya. Went to watch nlulm get trounced by Colt McCoy and Co. in McCoy's last season. A friend had an RV and we had to commit the game tickets and the RV space 6 weeks in advance. The RV lot was 4-5 blocks from the stadium and across I-35.
