Bob O's rickshaw service . It could happen Skill.
Look you can act like a spoil kid by trying to shoot barbs or be an adult and take it as an observation, either way is just fine with me.I can help facilitate your behavior by saying that you're being disingenuous we avg. a little over 15k last yr. The year before we avg a little over 20k while LaTech avg just over 18k. At the end of the day the fact that you didn't even sellout your homecoming and it took a little school from south la. to help you obtain your second largest crowd ever. Should be a sign that there is some improvement needed in the way gameday is approach. Again I had a great time with Tech fans yesterday and I was just giving an observation from a visiting fan prospective . You can choose to use that as a positive or a negative.

To have that many visitors come into Ruston is a rarity. At any rate, I'm one of those guys that LOVES to see a mixture of races come together for something we all share in common (in this case Sports). The young people from Southern were kind and respectable, just as I thought they would be. Of course, the older alum were classy as usual.

Relax bro. Just pointing out your perspective, attending FCS games, is a little different than mine...which includes Tech home games and visiting several away FBS games. MY observation is that our parking, including your situation yesterday, is MUCH better than most FBS football parking. It's an opinion, but if you want to look at facts, like measuring distances walked, it still works.
The walk from the RV parking was less than a mile.
I saw numerous older SU fans with physical impairments who had great difficulty making the walk. One obstacle is that there's no easy way to get from where most SU fans were parked (softball, Hale Hall, Mem Gym) to the east side of the stadium. The physically able cut across the track area and down the steps. Older fans can't do that. They can get to the area of the tennis courts easily enough but the sidewalk along the east side of the courts does not extend all the way to Alabama. You have to go all the way around the tennis courts or try the steep grassy slope full of potholes to the east sidewalk. Any time the option to leave the sidewalks is the better option, you risk someone getting hurt.
Most big time programs have a lot with electrical hookups if not water as well for RVs. Not cheap to install, depending on where you put it, but could pay for itself by renting out the individual spots in one season.
I think if the parking allowed for shorter access, that the experience would have been better. For example the entertainment that you guys had going on with the band, there is no doubt in my mind that our fans would have love to have been able to enjoy that by not having to walk as far in the heat as we did for both ULL games.
*sigh*
Our parking situation is way above average.

No I'm well aware. I just figured you guys played at least one FBS team every year. So...on what basis are you arguing with us about are parking? You guys have no idea what FBS games and parking are like. Apparently your football team doesn't either, after yesterday's score and looking back at the few FBS blowouts you have played in.
Thank you Statboy, and thanks to all the other SU fans that made the trip to Ruston. Every SU fan I met was very polite and spirited. Most everyone I know was blown away by all the RVs - very impressive. We have come a long way on accommodating crowds, but yesterday exposed some areas that still need work. I feel certain that someday when the Jags come back looking for revenge we will be better equipped for the task.
Your problem is that your stuck on acronyms. It doesn't matter if your an FBS,FCS,or FBI your fans still both have two legs and need easy access to where it is you're trying to have them go so that you can make money and have repeated customers.
Someone mention how far they park at an LSU game but LSU as well as SU have shuttle services at the game. So to say that we aren't experience as at FBS schools experience is just simply ignoring what needs to be improved.
I'm more than sure the vast majority of Tech fans understand this and aren't getting into their feelings about it or think of it as a put down.
Don't get stuck on acronyms, get direct tv and have a clearer picture and better experience.
