Conference USA teams will play same football opponents in 2016 that they played this season. @ODUFootball@CUSAFBhttp://www.pilotonline.com/sports/odu-will-play-same-conference-usa-teams-in-that-monarchs/article_a6090093-25cf-5511-afb6-
I don't think that was it. We are both playing at UMass next year. I think MS State said move our game or we'll cancel it, so we moved it. They were all announced around the same time.

I also suspect MSU had some hand in the UMass deal.
But some of the positive comments I read when that all went down is how we're so much better not playing 3 SEC teams in one year (A&M, UA, MSU) this way. Of course, it would only be two, and one at home (and neither are world-beaters), but whatever.
If they don't buy out, 2017 looks pretty good. But it took a crappy 2016 schedule to get there, which I guess is a legitimate approach. 2 years of ok/good home schedule for 1 bad/1 great.
Five home games....I believe I could schedule five home games while drinking a six pack on my couch for a salary of about $100. Seriously, how many schools schedule only five home games?
So let me get this straight - we schedule UMass to help them get home games and they end up with 6 home games, while we are sitting there with 5???? What kind of math do they teach at N'Western???? in the famous words of HD, "This is what you get when you hire a 31 yr old AD!!!!"
Unbelievable! Surely this will change?????
"It's Good to be a Bulldog"!!!
I will give our AD the benefit of doubt for another year or two. Most of you all talk like we are an top-level P5 & can dictate terms. Until we start selling out the Joe & increase seating & donations, "or are lucky enough like UL-L to be on the radar" for future membership to the Big 12, we are where we are. Just please stop scheduling FCS and get 1 for 1 deals with G5's.
No we are not a top level P5, but a list of available teams was posted after the UMass deal was made. At the time there were plenty of other G5s available. That was just a bad deal and our ADept has been very defensive about the decision with the "Gillette Stadium" mantra. Not sure what selling out JAS has to do with being able to get better G5s on the schedule. Also, the FCS teams we've scheduled the last two years have been well attended, but we should continue to be selective if possible. This year's Bowl deal put together by our AD and C-USA will not help us in future home and home deals with MWC teams.
You had rather go and play UMass (does nothing for your SOS) with no return, Arkansas (in Fayetteville and not LR) with no return and TT with no return instead of a home and home with stAte???????
Your AD needs some help.
