Maybe, but @ Lafayette is more than "pretty disingenuous" about the name game and recruiting/qualification methods. Your defense in the cheating issue of a rogue coach is very "disingenuous." Even if it is factual, it certainly shows that the AD and head coach are neglectful in fulfilling their duties, and have lost control of their program.
I got a heads up that my earlier comment on this thread was posted by someone on the Cajun website. The posters were saying that I was the one who put it there. As if, I barely have time to read and post here much less keep up with their board.
Probably somebody ran with my comment b/c it was true.
Given where Gameday has been, it is not beyond the realm of possibility they could appear anywhere. It really wouldn't take much either. On some weekends there are no games involving NC contenders playing anyone of value and Gameday goes looking for some place of interest.
For the most part, those type of weekends have ended up being FCS powers or G5 schools in the Top 25. It almost happened at Tech in 2012 for the Utah State game when we were ranked No. 19. Tech was asked to forward information about possible locations, student body interest, etc... The game was set for ESPN3, and ESPN was going to move the game to one of its networks had Gameday selected Ruston. Unfortunately, the game fell on the same weekend as the Oregon-Stanford game. That's where Gameday ended up, as Stanford upset Oregon.
