I don't agree with the Drake approach but that's just me. They just have licensing agreements with all the SEC schools. Not even Texas, Florida State, Clemson etc have apparel. Southern Quality Ford dealers with their over the top obnoxious Tigger commercials make me want to puke though. Good enough reason for me to not support any of those dealerships.
My most awesome friend Chip (disclosure - college room mate) has some leverage and can exercise it as he sees fit. I really do enjoy his b**** slapping of north LA businesses that support LSU entirely and don't give anything to Tech. If there were more like him in north LA, I'm sure we'd see a difference in support for our beloved U.

I know this: LSU doesn't give a crap about north Louisiana. The only time this region gets any attention whatsoever from them is when it affects their money. People like Woof! having loyalty is understandable because he has a legitimate connection to the university. (Plus, I can verify he's a good dude.) But the bandwagon fans in north Louisiana should feel played because they look like tricks.

I despise LSU. That being said, I hope they fire Les. Morons.
My dentist is a Tech grad. Attorney, a Tech grad. Our family doctor can often be seen at RhinoDawg's tailgate. Insurance, banking, automobile and truck dealers - you can do almost everything with all Tech grads (in north Louisiana at least) if you make a conscious effort - and I just try to do that.
