too most of us that is no-brainer question. Newspapers are dying but social media is basically a whiner network. obscure people wasting their lives hidden behind computers and not responsible for anything they post. Sportspage gives in depth article written by people who take full responsibility for what the write-- like it or not they are professional journalists . Social media has taken over a generation of people more comfortable behind a computer instead of in front of people. Cyberbulling, irresponsible rumors and posts. You don't need a free pass when it is already free--and in reality meaningless-- you appear to put way too much importance in social media--- I mean, would their be Kardascians, Jenners etc without it?
the truth will unfortunately not set us free. He has written how we rank in top 10 for wins vs expenses. From day one I have posted that we are getting great athletic programs for our budget. We need more money-- I see it as our number one message and it needs to told again and again. We have a state taking more and more money from higher education and giving pay raises to friends as they leave office (Jendal). Big picture is college budgets , not just athletics
people are allowed to have opinions we disagree with. Been same for LSU -- most hate the idea of playing other state schools. The simple fact is we would pack the stadium and kick their butt BUT , as I have posted before--OK after I am dead .. this is something even die-hard fans can not agree on. AT least he is talking about Tech!! doubt many folks read his newspaper article but die-hards. Great article today on Butler
We are a small state school BUT we are a Jewel. Big things come in small packages-- I truly have never met a Tech grad who was embarrassed to say they graduated from Tech. We are number 1 in average pays after graduating and known for academics and legendary athletes.
You do realize that there are positives and negatives at every college in the country and a good beat writer covers both, right? You say he's taking a shot at fans. He's not. He's providing coverage of Louisiana Tech athletics like we've never had it before. He covers Tech like it's a major university, and I find that extremely refreshing.
the bold, the beautiful, theprofessor
I would say Rice and Tulsa are both small schools. They have a lot more money than we do though.
I don't remember any beat writer being so candid about the required end to Big Nell's run as this guy is:

Again, I've said many times what a great job he does in covering us. He is the best beat writer we've ever had.
He was wrong when he editorialized the Stapleton situation. He didn't do it just once he did it several times.
His article on us losing assistant coaches was not well done and was totally misleading. Very poor work on his part.
These are the two that bothered me the most and they both seemed to reflect his personal opinions (like the tweets) instead of presenting the facts.
