How do we know he won't try to shove an expanded version of Obamacare down our throats? He already came out in favor of the individual mandate which should automatically disqualify him in any true conservatives eyes. He's the only Republican running this year that is against defunding Planned Parenthood. He's Democrat Lite so I have no idea what kind of Justice he would nominate and that scares the hell out of me because it's critical in who I vote for.

He has said he will nominate his radically liberal and pro-abortion sister for SC.

Just last week he said he was pro-"choice".

Don't take this the wrong way CHC, because after years on this board I have a lot of respect for you, but instead of bitching about how other people choose to vote, establishment Republicans need to focus on giving us candidates who we can vote for. It's the GOP's job to win my vote. Not my job to win an election for the GOP. That kind of backwards thinking is what has gotten us into the mess we are in right now.

If you vote for the person with the (R) beside their name even though they are not an (R), we're getting further from the goal.

    I have posted this before.
Evangelical Christians of all races, Independents, constitutionalist, conservatives, tea-party, and married women learned their lesson after the last 8 years of economic and foreign policy disaster.
They will vote anti-Obama (Hillary/Biden), anti-big government (Hillary/Biden), anti-socialist (Hillary/Col. Sanders) and anti-ObamaCare (all Liberals) by pulling the GOP lever even if they have to hold their nose.
Anyone conservative that doesn't is just a bandwagon voter wanting to say he or she voted for whomever wins.

Pretty sad day for the Grand Old Party if its sales pitch is against something and not for something.

I did find one soft spot in Trump’s support. Regular, weekly church attendance — as measured by a standard Pew Research question included in my survey — predicted a statistically significant and substantive opposition to Trump.

"Planned Parenthood does a really good job at a lot of different areas. But not on abortion," Trump said Sunday. "So I'm not going to fund it if it's doing the abortion. I am not going to fund it."

I was listening to a (long) podcast about that. Very recently, he said that he is "pro-life" but would allow women to choose to get abortions. Which means he's not pro-life. I can link that podcast but it's long and discusses a lot of unrelated topics.

I'm also curious what those other areas PP does a "good job at" are.

If Cruz only wins Texas next week, I'm not sure that's going to give him the momentum to stop Trump. Kasich & Carson need to back out of the race before Tuesday but I don't think its going to happen.

Among my concerns for Trump has been my worry he would alienate enough people in the middle that Hillary would win. But I'm rethinking that as a couple of staunch Democrats have recently told me they'd take Trump over Hillary any day of the week. Surprised me greatly.
