It's worked with 40% of Republicans. He is effective at hurting people's brand and Hillary gives him a lot of material. If he tries to be a serious candidate she will eat him up.
With Cruz and Kasich FINALLY on the same page, it's even more unlikely that Trump's narrow path will be realized. If he's not a first ballot nominee, he's finished.

What percent of Republicans would you say he's alienated? IMHO to large of a percentage to win in the general against a very weak Democratic opponent. I say that he's near his ceiling now.

I don't think so. There are many republicans who have not voted for him, but will if he is the nominee. He hasn't alienated 100% of the people who didn't vote for him in the primary. There are many who won't vote until the general and will vote regardless of the nominee. Trump haters just like to say that he is getting all he's going to get. Reality is that he has not. I didn't vote for him either, but if it's him and Hillary...I will vote and it won't be for her.
I agree with you. His main problem would be with Republicans who can't vote for him. He is getting some Democrats to cross over and vote for him, but I don't think it would make up the difference of the Republican vote he would lose.
Even if some republicans don't vote for him, he will be fine. You do realize he has 2M more votes than Romney at this point. With the new voters and democrats, he will get at least 5M more votes than Hillary in the general even if Hillary gets the Obama voters, black and young at his level. She won't so Trump will win in a landslide.

I don't understand what you're saying. Obama beat Romney by 5 million votes. If you're saying Trump will get 2 million more than Romney (which I don't think is true), he still loses by 3 million votes if Hillary gets the Obama vote (which I don't think she will).
