I don't even have any UH Cougar High stuff and I graduated from their law school. I did have lsu stuff way back in HS when I thought I was going there to go to law school. As soon as I got to Tech I was a Bulldog, though, and have been ever since. (Over 50 years).
Speaking of razorbacks, I have a close friend who I met while at Tech in the 80s and we have remained close ever since. He lives near Fort Smith, AR and he and his wife have raised their 3 children in the shadow of the big red hog. So now that his oldest son is graduating from high school I've really been putting the pressure on to get him to Tech even though the boy has planned to attend AR since he could talk. And as rediculous as it is, they were allowing their don to decide fot himself. I even arranged him a visit with Dr Guice for a tour, and assured him that on graduation day Louisiana Tech would give him a brand new blue Corvette. We'll a few weeks ago he announced he would be coming to Tech! Another child saved.
Only thing we have is a picture of my son in an outfit he was given by someone not related to us. I am ashamed I was not in the house to make sure that picture never took place.
If I had gone to Byrd, I'd lobby for a color change at my high school.![]()
My high school was purple and white. The basketball coach liked to add gold as a trim color, but not the football coach.
Why must they serve boiled crawfish at almost every Tech function? I grew up in north La. and we never had crawfish and as far as I can tell didn't really miss anything. They're good in etouffe or fried, but boiled? Way too much work for those little bits of tail.
The fried fish alternative can't be all bad.
