Have you considered those Dogs?
I completely agree. After they ran out with us before the game on purpose and pumped up the east side as tech took the field and we ran it back first kick... I knew we had it. I love the attitude we are playing with. Ronald Lewis getting a pick was big for this defense as well. We are about to slaughter southern miss.

Also isn't it great that we get our two best punts of the last two years as touchbacks! We should just tell our punter anytime we need a deep punt that he's on his 40! How silly are we on special teams! It's like a silly willy party! With clowns! We should seriously have trace Adkins rodeo clowns distracting the other team on returns.
I want to apologize. The bookstore was open Saturday morning til noon (I noticed as I walked by at 11 a.m.)
IN FACT, the bookstore is open EVERY Saturday morning til noon, according to their hours on the door.
Again, I was giving you info from the campus media release and the bookstore on the Quad was not included.

The hit that TT took shows that he is tougher than wood pecker lips...
''Don't be a bad dagh..."
In his 'Bad Beat Downs' segment Scott Van Pelt criticized Skip Holtz, and Tech, for not taking a knee at the end of the game. As I said, because Dawg80 is always right about these things, it was classless. UTSA had all 3 of their timeouts and did not use any of them. That means the team with the big lead should honor that and simply let the clock expire. UTSA had waved the white flag, surrendered, and we rubbed their noses in it.
Van Pelt also said Holtz is on a lot of lists across the country for current/potential vacancies. That should come as no surprise to anyone. Doesn't mean he will be hired away, just that, of course, many schools will consider him. But he got a major black eye on national TV (ESPN) last night.
I was not pleased with the way we conducted ourselves at the end of the game. Should always take the high road...no matter the opponent. I remember Bicknell having our QB, Causey, I think it was, take a knee 3 times inside of the ULL 5 yard line when we whipped their azzes down there. As we were leaving the stadium that night I had several Cajun fans express "thanks, your coach is pure class."
Disappointed in Holtz. Not to mention, what would you think had Boston Scott or Jamar Smith gotten hurt scoring that meaningless TD?
Dawg80 and Van Pelt are the only ones who think he should have taken a knee with our 2s and 3s in the game.
"Guys you get a rare chance to play in a live game, but don't try when you get out there."
So now Skip Holtz runs scores up on teams? Or does he call off the dogs way too early? He's an enigma!
Bullshit!
Your 2s and 3s benefit more by being put into the game and playing along side some 1s. So, in the 2nd qtr, when you have a big lead, a few 2s can see some real PT. And then, if the lead is still big, a coach can start sticking in more 2s and a 3 late in the 3rd qtr. Young players learn very little to nothing by all going out there together, usually against the other team's starters, and not having any success. In the 4th qtr, depending on the flow of the game, a coach can start putting in more 2s and 3s. But, in no case, does it matter one frickin' bit to have back-ups trying to get experience when the other team has already packed it in.
Or, Pawdawg, do you think a coach should play his starters, and only key back-ups, for say 55 mins of every game, and then, and only then, put in the young guys for game experience at the very end?
Yeah, I know, I'm stupid and all of that, and my experiences are not relevant to you armchair QBs out there, but sorry, I found I got more mileage out of having some of my starters in the game at the same time as the youngsters, as my experienced guys were "coaches on the field."
But, none of that matters to the main point....stay classy, at all times. Now LOUISIANA TECH has been shamed on national TV. That hits home. I don't like that.
Carry on...classy ones.
