Tech football wore columbia blue in various uniform combinations from the early 70s through 1988. Our last game in columbia blue jerseys was the McNeese game in 1987. The last game in columbia blue pants was in 1988. We've never worn columbia blue in the I-A/FBS era.
See below:
At 0:48 we're in columbia blue tops with white pants. At 4:00 we're in all columbia blue.

I would be okay with Columbia Blue for a special throw back game, but that would be it. It has took a VERY long time for our fans to switch mind-sets. They seem to have a hard time with colors. We finally did it and almost all know Techster blue vs. Bulldog blue. I like it that way and wouldn't want to confuse people. Call it a "throwback" game and use them. The fans can't even get white out and red out straight in their minds on game days.
