Still need to run shuttles from far parking which I would include across the RR tracks in the old Carruthers Nielsen area or the old Pentagon area. Ruston High could probably charge for parking there if they provided a shuttle. They could make a little money for the HS. I guess they will continue the downtown parking/shuttle. Since I will probably make only one game I will arrive at least one or two hours early. That early I can usually find a place around the TAC.

Very walkable. Southern, Miss State, Northwestern State fans took the nice stroll to the stadium.

If you can find parking that close within an hour or two from kick off, seems we don't have a parking issue.

I was surprised at how far away I had to park at Southern Miss a couple of years ago. If memory serves we got to the stadium a couple hours before game time.

We don't. We are a spoiled fan base with how good our parking situation is. For example:

The amount of parking space directly next to our stadium and a simple walk away from the stadium is unheard of compared to other on-campus stadiums. And I don't mean to compare our site to an athletic campus detached from a main campus like other schools have. We are spoiled having a stadium on our main campus with so much parking and amenities around it. You can walk to huge parking lots, restaurants, hotels, apartments, houses, parks and more in just a 15 minute walk from the stadium.

Well, Dawgonit, when the stadium was built we didn't consider it really on campus. If you had a date (which a lot of us didn't) you had to walk all the way from the Men's dorm area on the west side to the far east side and then back and under the tracks. Of course now with all the additions, TAC, new apartments etc, it is really part of the campus. But think about Rice Stadium. It is on campus and has a huge parking lot all the way round. Kind of like a pro stadium.

I always thought the parking on the grass on the north and west side of the TAC was my secret. I have almost never failed to find a place over there unless I arrived too late -- like those 30 minute guys. My brother and I used to park on the sidewalk area along Alabama but they stopped that since 2010, the last time he got to go. If paying I liked the Softball lot. But like I said, I always arrived at least an hour sometimes two hours before game time.

Same here! I actually PREFER C in football, and with basketball there's little difference.

Looking at USM's map, their donor lots are all over campus. I bet free parking isn't close to the stadium.
