I just don't see how any coach could be comfortable on the bubble. As a fan, I sure know I'm not.
How were they able to do that?

I noticed a couple of weeks ago ULM had the rock-bottom worst RPI of all teams in D-1

I think there was like a 20% chance of rain.

Southern Miss got to protect their RPI, and ULM didn't get a loss and got to save a little money on travel costs by not having to bus to Hattiesburg.

Yes, winning on the road helped. Up to 39 after last night.

Lafayette jumped six spots into the top 50 with their win last night.

Things are setting up well for us going into next Tuesday.

Sure are. Dawgs bats seem to be getting even hotter for the stretch run. Let's hope it continues. Gotta keep beating these lower RPI teams to keep our rpi in the 30s.

Tech's Non-Conference RPI still sitting in the Top 10 at 9. CUSA still sitting at 6 as a league. And I noticed that for the first time in a long time the Sun Belt doesn't have a single school in the RPI Top 50.

In reference to mid-week games not played in last 2 weeks Coach has commented a number of times on Talk Tech Baseball that in the last 2 weeks he is concerned with late season fatigue in a line-up that is not deep. But ULL looms Tuesday. They lost their series to Ga Southern.

He has to say something. He also referred to studies and the players needing a social life which is total BS. He said that we would would make up the Arkansas State game, but didn't.

Probably our AD trying to save a nickel. I doubt he can spell RPI.

So, we should be well rested.

There should be no excuses for not going 6-1 or 7-0 for the rest of the regular season, including a win against Southwestern.

I'll be honest - due to the injury to Washam, our rpi and the lack of depth on the mound - I'm beginning to believe that NOT scheduling two additional games is the correct call...

It's like the Cajuns claiming that if they had only not scheduled St. Peters their rpi would be in the high 30's right now

It's nothing like what the Cajuns are claiming. We didn't make up the nlu game for that reason. If we could not find lsu or Southeastern, or McNeese to play again, just say we couldn't find anybody, but don't say we are tired, need to study, or the players need to go out and have fun.

We had 5 relievers and/or pitchers that didn't pitch yesterday. We have guys who need work, but he left them sitting.

Oh, and he or our AD decided long before Washam was hurt that we were not going to play.

I'll bet we would have found a date to finish the ULM game if their coach had not insisted on changing the rules and re-starting it from scratch so his one decent pitcher could be used again.
