We swapped with Nebraska after yesterday. 44 to 42
We've moved up to # 37 in RPI for the time being.
Today (5/8) RPI at 38 (-1) on Warren Nolan. UNCC 75, Rice 57, FAU 55, ODU at 39, USM 19; face #60 ULL this midweek
In reference to mid-week games not played in last 2 weeks Coach has commented a number of times on Talk Tech Baseball that in the last 2 weeks he is concerned with late season fatigue in a line-up that is not deep. But ULL looms Tuesday. They lost their series to Ga Southern.
I'll be honest - due to the injury to Washam, our rpi and the lack of depth on the mound - I'm beginning to believe that NOT scheduling two additional games is the correct call...
It's like the Cajuns claiming that if they had only not scheduled St. Peters their rpi would be in the high 30's right now
''Don't be a bad dagh..."
It's nothing like what the Cajuns are claiming. We didn't make up the nlu game for that reason. If we could not find lsu or Southeastern, or McNeese to play again, just say we couldn't find anybody, but don't say we are tired, need to study, or the players need to go out and have fun.
We had 5 relievers and/or pitchers that didn't pitch yesterday. We have guys who need work, but he left them sitting.
Oh, and he or our AD decided long before Washam was hurt that we were not going to play.
I'll bet we would have found a date to finish the ULM game if their coach had not insisted on changing the rules and re-starting it from scratch so his one decent pitcher could be used again.
