What big time games have you attended where both bands were fully represented at a non-neutral venue?
Growing pains, Pawdawg. We ain't there yet.

I don't consider that poor rushing defense, but others may. Off hand, do you know NSUs yds/carry? I looked at 2 websites that had the score, but even though the stat categories were listed, the yardage was not included. I would estimate NSU had about 350 yds total offense. I don't consider that particularly bad defense, but others may. Posts early in this thread leads me to believe the posters thought our team was not playing 11 guys on the other side of the line of scrimmage equally determined, if not more so, to play competitively and win the game.
Don't know if you are talking Tech specifically with this statement, but many big time programs take their full bands to many if not all away games. Notre Dame travels band all the way to NC State even during hurricane last year. Alabama, LSU band travel often. At least it seems SEC and Big 12 teams have their bands go with them to conference games.
I'm sure others will disagree, but I honestly don't believe that Almond, although a very good QB, leaving the game changed the outcome. Listening to the post game driving home, Skip didn't appear to be a happy coach. I have always heard the most improvement is between the 1st and 2nd games. I work with many State grads, so a Bulldog victory next week will be fun. Conversation this week should be interesting.
NO! we have some future superstars --21 Amik is the real deal, starting as a freshman and he played solid , first game out of high school Washington got back to back picks and we had a very young group that will just get better. That said we were lucking they dropped quite a few passes and their qb goes down when game tied .
Just reread your post and realize you posted early in game, that trick play worked but the safety just miss timed it--2016 know one would have been around the wr -- which happed in the second half on goofy play ...
little more than that -- they entertain around the tailgate area and represent Tech with pride hours before kick off . Grambling has always been known for its band , back in days when they had more guys in NFL than anyone ( segregation days). Granted, I don't get excited about band but I thought the 2 bands playing America the Beautiful was first class ..
I promised myself I would not read the whining on BBB-- same guys who wanted to bench Higgins now throwing Jamar under bus -- we have a lot of posters who never suited up. I never doubted that our depth would destroy NSU as our depth took over. Yeah, the first 2 minutes of second half were ugly but 52-24 is a rout. Hell, I kept referring to Indiana vs Ohio game on Friday nite, the better team won going away. After game interview Jamar said he was nervous and rushing things-- we saw his talent once he settled in--some spectacular throws. I will never get over how many posters whine 24-7 about everything. this is young team and we should get better as season progresses -- 52-24 win and 4-5 straight posts whining ( as usual for same posters from last year) I have never been a quitter about Tim and Coach Holtz -- we get past Miss State and if we beat WK it will be a special season .. wish we could have a thread that posted the posts from the past that were SO wrong. faithfull to a fault I am
yep-- Teddy named him offensive player of game -- I could make a case that with game tied Coach Holtz did make brilliant move of having Dancy carry twice to score go ahead TD --battle cancer and win, teammates have to be motivated when he scores -- our game from that point--
Got to remember J'Mar is just a sophomore...
He was real close on two more long throws yesterday, when he learns to see the entire field he will be special
