Why did you exclude Japanese-Americans, Chinese Americans, Vietnamese Americans, and Indian Anericansfrom your list of mistreated Americans? They are not white.

I didn't exclude them. I said if you are not a white Christian and then gave some examples.

Trump supporters want to equate the flag to the military, and it isn't the same. The flag is a symbol of the country. The protest is intended to draw attention to the fact that some communities don't enjoy the same American experience as others - that the country as a whole is failing to live up to its moral standard.

If you have a problem you need to be prepared to offer a solution when you begin to complain about it. You, Kapernick, nor any of those protesting the poor treatment of blacks (and this is about blacks) have offered an idea. Hate speech is all they have to offer. What do YOU have to offer?

He's spoken since then...and even then, he says there is a real problem he hopes the protestors bring attention to. You think he would agree with your summary of the protestors' (there are many) gripe?

NFL players have a perfect right to protest...on their own time.

If I tried to protest in a similar way during my work hours, I would be fired on the spot and would deserve it. NFL players are no different.

If the NFL had a real backbone (such as Pete Rozelle), this would have been nipped in the bud last year with player fines or suspensions.

What these players don't seem to understand is that they are strangling the golden goose that is paying their salaries. NFL ratings are in the tank and will only continue to get worse.

This is division politics at its worst and exactly how Trump likes to play it. He forced the players to stand up for each other to throw another bone to his base.

That's not how rights work.

The players have every right to take a knee. The league will do what it will do as it has to balance the relationship between the talent and the fans. If enough fans turn off the TV, you'll see change.

It's the beauty of the free market!

You can't mandate respectful compliance. Our founders thought that kind of thing was terrible.

These protests are quintessentially American. The free market response is too. I don't understand why everybody's dander is up! This is who we are! And, it's great!
