They do? I didn't see anything in there that said: Trump has false empathy.

Actually, empathy is hard for most people. Many will say they have it, or think they have it, but most really don't. But, at least acting like you have empathy for someone is a polite thing to do. Much better than saying: Whoa! glad it was you and not me!
