My thoughts exactly. Kent is an azzhole, and ULL really sucks. Kent keeps talking about "the future" because ULL has no worthy past, and he doesn't have to prove anything when talking about the future.
ULL is a coaches grave yard. Kent knows it, and so do we. Coach Roid was further proof of it. Fact is, ULL kills more coaching careers than Father Time.
I'm in Lafayette about twice a month and I can tell you, the Lafayette fans have once again convinced themselves that the AAC will be calling them soon. Of course, they're also convinced that that's only a precursor of the call that's sure to be coming from the Big 12. They truly believe that LSU is completely consumed with worry about what goes on in Lafayette. I live in Baton Rouge and I can tell you that nobody I know here that is associated with LSU pays a lick of attention to anything Lafayette (or any of the rest of us) does. A $100M athletic budget will do that to you.

Sources: Skip Holtz is set to hire Erik Link as his 10th assistant coach at Louisiana Tech. Link’s hire is expected to be approved today. Holtz will have his 10th assistant coach just before fall camp begins Friday morning. Story to come. #LATech

What will he coach?
Well, there ya go! Whether we need him or not, LA Tech has now hired that 10th football coach to join the FBS arms race, just like all the "big boys".

"The arms race was in facilities and now it's in staff members," said ESPN's Mack Brown, the former Texas coach. In any company there are PRODUCERS, and there are "hangers on". These 10 coaching hires in college football are nothing more than "hangers-on". Their input will make absolutely no difference in how their football programs perform in the 2018 season. This is nothing more than senseless "Empire Building" by head coaches. Nick Saban started it, because he knows other schools can't keep up. I honestly believe college football would be well served if Nick Saban & Alabama got knocked out of the NC picture for about the next 8 or 10 yrs."We identified an area that we were deficit as compared to the teams that are in the national championship hunt every year, the Alabamas, the Clemsons, the Ohio States, the Florida States of the world," (Texas Coach Tom) Herman said, later adding "we're going to get an army down there just like rest of the big boys in college football do."
Hopefully he’ll coach special teams. I don’t think a dedicated special teams could be considered a hanger-on.
