The last time Tech was targeted to play ULM in a bowl Tech drug their feet and didn’t get in a bowl at all. What would be worse playing ULM and losing or not playing at all...ummmm?
I think Holtz’s style is to consistently lose to rivals so look out Tech fans the biggest gut punch of all could be rocketing our way at the speed of an I-20 showdown, yikes.
We should have had another touchdown between the WR not catching the pass and the missed TE.
Vegas would open it at ULM -7.5
They would probably win by 16ish
Sad
"But we competed Daddy!!"![]()
Tell me how we out-played and out-coached them on the USM series that started in Tech territory and on 3rd and 14 we give up a 49 yard TD pass.
Or when our red zone TD % is 40% (2/5), tell me how we out-played and out-coached them on those critical possessions.
Or why we inexplicably stop going up-tempo on offense even though that’s when we are most successful on offense. And it’s been that way all year. But we have to wait for Skip to figure out what play to run.
Exactly lol, HD has some weird infatuation with little Jack. He did not beat Tech. Tech beat Tech, that slow tempo crap in the 3rd freaking quarter was a killer. Bet Skip wish he had all that time back on the clock. I’m still wondering what was the point of chewing up clock time in the 3rd quarter? Only up by 3, we have one of the wackiest coaches. It’s like he coaches to keep games close and hope for the best in the end.
I have to ask. Has Skip Holtz stuck with J'Mar because he's afraid of the race card? If he has, he's an idiot.
Honestly JMar is likely the best option. He was pretty darn good in the first half, despite the aweful drops. He was good for that 8 minute drive until the red-zone as well, with a dropped TD.
I think today made it clear it is Holtz’s offensive mind that is causing our failure. Most of the time this year when the offense is pushing, playing quickly, they do well. J’Mar looks fine in those situations.
