I have no idea what those statistics were supposed to prove. Taken line item by line item:
1) 10.5 million, or 3.2% of the population, is still way too high a number to ignore. Besides that, the issue is the number of people attempting to come in now and creating a humanitarian crisis at the border.
Note that the number (assuming the statistics shown are correct...which I would not necessarily do) decreases during bad economic times and poor economic growth. I bet if you check that number in about a year you'll find it increasing again. This is COMMON SENSE.
We should be able to control our border...period.
2) There should be exactly ZERO illegal immigrants here that are Mexican nationals. ZERO. We should have a liberal guest worker program that allows someone to come here, legally work, pay taxes, and get in the line to become a citizen. This should be reviewed on an individual by individual basis once yearly and renewed IF that worker still has a place to work and does not have issues in our legal system.
I hear we have Congo and Haitian nationals coming over the southern border now. Wonder who is bankrolling that? If I had NOTHING, I certainly could not tell you how to get from here to some Caribbean or African nation...so how is it that they are making their way here?
Where is Congress on this issue? Well, the dems want a permanent underclass and possible votes they can buy down the line, and repubs cozy up to businesses wanting cheap (slave) labor. Congress needs to do their job....this is not a difficult issue unless you have ulterior motives.
3) Kinda bothersome that only 7.6 million of the 10.56 million (estimated) are working. More bothersome that they are likely not getting minimum wages and taking jobs from Americans that are getting government cheese instead of working. Time for Americans to start doing the "jobs Americans won't do". You complain about the debt, then advocate for open borders and an endless "safety net" for able-bodied people.

I have other sources and am able to connect the dots... sorry for those of you languishing in ignorance. But, that's your problem...
The crisis is a humanitarian one caused by Trump’s zero-tolerance policy and constant “metering” at our ports of entry, where we detain asylum seekers on the other side of the border and only process and allow in only a few people per day.
This is a refugee family crisis - not a threat to the US. These are mostly families fleeing violence in Central America, and they are not trying to “sneak” across the border. They are showing up at ports of entry lawfully seeking protection under US law. 2/3 of those that are apprehended by border patrol (and these stats include the large number that voluntarily surrender to border patrol) are parents with children.
ZERO immigration across the border until we get the wall built and can sort this all out.
Yeah, they are "fleeing violence" in their home countries, but first, 33,000 can show up for a soccer match in one of those CA countries this weekend.
It's all BS! they are not fleeing anything. They are being paid, by the likes of George Soros, to invade the US. PERIOD!
These people aren’t getting in currently. That is the crisis. Most are stuck on the Mexican side of the border waiting for the opportunity for their asylum application to be considered.
They need to go home, heck! take the money Soros has given them and invest in their own country.
But, where's all the violence these people are fleeing? They can peacefully attend a soccer match, tens of thousands on the streets cheering for their team, no problems. Which is all good! I'm happy for 'em, and just shows that it's life as usual in CA. And these caravans are contrived to invade the US.
